We are in the thick of Benefit Day Season and the Online Auction is off to a great start! Thanks to everyone who is participating so far. The Church Sponsoring Baskets are awesome, including a Gardener’s Paradise basket from West Zion Church, a Bake with Me basket from First Mennonite Church of Halstead, “The Blessed Woman” basket from Moundridge Evangelical Free Church, a K-State Tailgaters Basket from Eden Mennonite, a Gift of Bread basket from First Mennonite Church of McPherson, and a Love, Prayers and Hope basket from United Methodist Church.
There’s also tickets (with AMAZING seats) to a KU basketball game, autographed KU Basketball and K-State Football, a Bethel College quilt, Wichita State tickets and even KC Royals tickets. Plus, for all the golfers out there, there are gift certificates to most of the area golf courses. You can sign up online through our web site, www.pinevillageks.org/benefitday.
Then, our Live Auction and Dinner will be next Thursday, October 19. Dinner will be from 5-6:30 p.m. and is free will donation. The Live Auction starts at 6 p.m. with Auctioneer Van Schmidt!
For you Moundridge history buffs, we have a really cool 1914 Moundridge Yearbook, plus some class photos and a very old picture of the City of Moundridge up for auction. There’s also a Traeger Pellet Grill, patio heater, Knork silverware, and full car detail with a car lovers basket from Midway Motors, plus so much more! Also, if you have a wedding, anniversary celebration or any sort of gathering coming up, Cloud Nine Venue has donated a one –day rental that values at $2,400! You can check out pictures of all the live auction items at www.pinevillageks.org.
All proceeds go toward the 2016-17 Benefit Day project – the remodel and expansion of the Kitchen and Main Dining room; a space that is in much need of renovation and expansion, as we are serving 100 more than it was designed for! If you’re interested in learning more about this project, we’re hosting information meetings on Monday, October 16 at 3 p.m. in the Wellness Center and another meeting on Thursday, October 26 at 6:30 p.m. in Krehbiel Apartments.
Be kind to one another!
