July has been a very busy month for Pine Village, and as we round out the last two weeks it’s not about to slow down! On Monday we will have our weekly Between the Lines coloring class. Anyone is invited to attend, and take part in some relaxing, creative time. If you haven’t tried coloring as an adult, you’re missing out! I enjoy my time coloring; it’s refreshing and relaxing.
We also are excited to have West Zion Mennonite Church back on campus hosting a Sunday morning worship on July 30. The service will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the Wellness Center; again anyone is welcome to attend.
Then, on July 31 we will travel to Ellinwood, Kan. The day will include a guided tour of the underground city that was once home to thriving brothels, bars, gambling, barber shops, and even a harness store! The former businesses (founded in the late 1800s) were connected by a series of well-built, underground tunnels that we will tour! Lunch will be at the Lone Wolf Restaurant. There is a small fee for this trip and space is limited, so sign up today!
