National Nursing Home Week

Pine Village will participate in the national Nursing Home Week May 13-17, which has been celebrated since 1967 when American Health Care Association started it. To the general public, long-term care probably has a negative perception, but in reality there are more good long-term care homes out there than bad. National Nursing Home week is an opportunity to bring a positive light to long-term care.

Our goal that week is to make memories! Monday will be Hawaiian day, and we will enjoy a Hawaiian lunch as well as afternoon smoothies. Tuesday will be our Annual Block Party which occurs in our Wellness Center parking lot. Then on Wednesday we will hope the fish are biting as we will enjoy the outdoors fishing at our on campus pond. Thursday will be our 2nd Annual Pine Village Olympics, where teams participate in several relay games before winners are crowned; this will occur at 1:30 p.m. and is full of laughs if you want to spectate. Finally we will round out the week with a Pizza lunch enjoyed by all! You can stay up-to-date on all the fun through our Facebook page and Instagram account.

Also, All Schools Day is just around the corner and buttons are for sale at Pine Village. The All Schools Day buttons get you into numerous events May 6-11. Buttons are just $2 and come with one carnival ticket. You can purchase buttons until May 9 at 4:30 p.m. at Pine Village. Come see us!

Be kind to one another!
