Memory Care
Pine Village provides specialized care for those suffering from Alzheimer’s or certain types of dementia. Meadowbrook, our secure neighborhood, offers 14 private rooms. Each room includes a half-bath. The Meadowbrook neighborhood has it's own living room, kitchen, dining room, and outdoor courtyard for residents to enjoy.
Behavior-Based Therapies
Focused behavior therapy is designed to manage and reduce behaviors associated with Alzheimer’s and dementia. Pine Village has incorporated this innovative, non-medication program in Meadowbrook. The comforting and stimulating therapies are not group exercises; they are developed for each individual’s needs and interests. The therapies have resulted in a reduction of resident falls and a decrease in the use of psychotropic medications. Pine Village was one of the first homes in Kansas to offer a program like this with the help of Dr. Govind Bharwani.
