As a resident of Pine Village you receive a membership to the award-winning Walter Wellness and Goering Activity Center. The Center’s goal is to promote successful aging through the development of the body, and stimulation of the mind and spirit.
The Wellness Center is a hub of daily activity with exercise classes including, but not limited to:
- step aerobics
- water aerobics
- balance training
- strength training
All classes are taught by licensed staff. Other services include personal training, fitness assessments, and swimming lessons.

Additionally, the Center is home to numerous activities throughout the year including resident holiday parties, town hall meetings, musical performances and other special events.
The Center also hosts community events and in 2012 was awarded the Excellence in Social Accountability award from LeadingAge Kansas regarding its outreach to Moundridge and other surrounding communities. Community events include American Red Cross blood drives, community Trick or Treat, Only Schweitzer Spoken Here, food bank collections, legislative coffees and various musical concerts, just to name a few.
The banquet room (3,250 sq. ft.), classrooms (486 sq. ft. each) and commercial kitchen are available for the outside community to rent for a meeting, reunion or other event one might like to hold.
